PGDM COURSE
The two-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Management course at BCCM, Bhubaneswar (AICTE approved) is designed to develop students into professional managers and strong leaders. The program equips students with strong conceptual and functional skills in business management, marketing, finance, and HR through classroom teaching, internship programs, on-the-job training, and interaction with industry experts. The emphasis is on developing a holistic manager and an individual capable of delivering excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society.
Academic curriculum of BCCM aims to :
- To hone analytical skills, problem-solving skills and enhance decision making capabilities using modern day managerial tools, case study discussions, internship programs
- To impart most relevant and latest skills and knowledge in functional areas of management to make students industry ready
- To develop the students' personality, integrated with strong values and positive attitude so as to be receptive to societal concerns and ethical conduct.
BCCM, Bhubaneswar (Bhavan’s Centre for Communication And Management) follows the trimester system with the academic calendar beginning in June every year with each term having a duration of 11-12 weeks.
At the end of the first three terms of the program, all students are required to undergo compulsory industry summer training for 8-10 weeks in industry. The students also undergo courses on personality development & Yoga.
The first 3 trimesters aim at giving a broad exposure to the students in the core areas of business management, and the students pursue major & minor specializations during the last 3 trimesters with core subjects. Students can do their specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources (HR) and Healthcare & Hospital Management.
The course curriculum is regularly updated in tune with the changing business needs. BCCM has very eminent academicians and industry experts on its academic council, which reviews and sets the curriculum to ensure that courses offered achieve the academic objectives.
