Dr. Sujata Mangaraj has more than three decades of rich experience in teaching, research, publication, training, academic administration, accreditation, mentoring and consultancy. She has supervised 14 PhD and D.Lit. Scholars, authored 95 research papers and nine books in the area of Human Resource Management. She is a Doctoral Examiner of many leading universities of the country such as Savitribai Phule Pune University, University of Hyderabad, University of Mumbai, Anna University, Telangana University, GITAM University, Bharati Vidyapeeth (D) University etc. She is the Chief Editor of two referred research journals, Siddhant : A Journal of Decision Making and Training & Development Journal, both published by Indian journals.com, New Delhi. She is also the Editorial Board Member of Indian Journal of Training and Development (IJTD), New Delhi.
In recognition of her outstanding research contribution, she was awarded AMIDISA Fellowship twice to present her papers at South Asian Management Forums held at Dhaka University, Bangladesh and SLIDA, Srilanka. She was also awarded with fellowship of International Labor Organization (ILO) and Taiwanese Industrial Relation Association to present her research contributions at the 11 th World Congress of IIRA Bologna, Italy and Asian Regional Congress of International Industrial Relation Association (IIRA), Taipei, Taiwan.
She served the Executive Board of Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) as its National President (2019-21) and Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) Bhubaneswar Chapter as its Chairperson (2007-17). She has also served as the Member of Marketing & Communication Committee and Scholar-Practitioner Publications Committee of Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), USA and Executive Board Member of Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA). She served as the Member of All India Board of Management (AIB), AICTE (2019-22) and Chairperson of Nomenclature Sub-committee of AIB – AICTE (2019-21). She has been serving as the Mentor & Evaluator of ACBSP since 2011. Presently, she is the ACBSP Mentor for Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta in Sleman, Indonesia.
Dr. Mangaraj has received several National and International awards for her outstanding contribution to the field of management education. She was the first Indian honored with the most Prestigious “Teaching Excellence Award 2010” of ACBSP, USA. CMO Council of Asia honored Dr. Mangaraj with the “Best Professor in Human Resource Management Award”. She was the recipient of “18th Dewang Mehta Best Teacher in Human Resource Management Award” and “Best Professor in Human Resource Management Award” of Le Matinal Education Excellence Foundation. Dr Mangaraj has received “Best Management Educator Award 2009” from World Management Congress. She has been awarded the most prestigious Fellow of ISTD & Kamla Award for Best Women Writer of the year 2013 of ISTD, New Delhi and AIMS ICFAI Best Teacher Award 2013. She received “Best Paper Kamala Award of ISTD” for the 2nd time conferred during the International Federation for Training and Development Organization (IFTDO) World Congress 2022 held at New Delhi.
Her current research interest includes Accreditation and Quality Assurance, Employee Engagement, Diversity, inclusion and equity at the workplace.
Dr. Mangaraj served as the Dean, School of Management Studies, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha and is currently working as the Sr. Director cum Dean (Academics) at Bhavan’s Centre for Communication & Management (BCCM), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
